The Royal Humanitarian Foundation Signs an MoU with the Arabian Gulf University to Promote Students’ Talent and Creativity Development

His Excellency Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), and His Excellency Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting the development of talent and creativity among students under the sponsorship of the Foundation.

The MoU aims to coordinate and integrate the efforts and programmes of the two parties to promote innovation and creativity among students from the RHF’s beneficiaries. The University will utilise its expertise and resources in identifying and nurturing talented students, providing them with training and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

The Memorandum also provides for the establishment of a comprehensive plan to support students with exceptional abilities and talents, including providing them with specialised training and mentorship. Furthermore, the university will also conduct research studies to better understand the needs and aspirations of these students.

On the occasion, Shaikh Ali emphasised that the aim of this agreement is to discover and develop the creative potential of orphans supported by the RHF, which he believes is vast and needs to be nurtured. He also stressed that this initiative is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development goals under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

On his part, Dr Al Fuhaid reaffirmed that AGU is considered among the top institutions in the field of talent development, having established its Department of Gifted Education in 1990, which has graduated over 500 students from the GCC region. He also highlighted the international accreditation received by the university’s programmes, which has enabled it to collaborate with prestigious international institutions.

“The Arabian Gulf University is continuing its efforts, as envisioned by the Their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC, to serve the Arabian Gulf community and enrich it with unique and innovative specialisations,” Dr Al Fuhaid commented.

The meeting was attended by officials from both organisations, including Mr Yousef Al Yaqoub, Assistant Secretary General for Planning and Chairty Resources Development, Ms May Al Sa’ee, Director of Charity Resources Development, and Mr Abdullah Fardan, Head of Public Relations, from the Foundation, while Prof. Waleed Khalil Zabari, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, Dr Ahmed Mohamed Al Abassi, Head of the Gifted Education Department, and Mr Naif Mohammed Al Otaibi, Supervisor of the President’s Office, attended from the University.
