Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), the Orientation and Guidance Day for newly admitted GCC students in the MBA Programme at the French Arabian Business School (FABS) for the academic year 2024-2025 will be held tomorrow, Thursday (April 25, 2024).
Prof. Waleed Khalil Zubari, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies (CGS) and Director of FABS, stated that the positive academic reputation achieved by the School in record time increases the responsibility and raises the level of enthusiasm to maintain and build upon this success.
He emphasised the importance of developing and enhancing capacities and practical skills of the GCC students studying at the FABS, enabling them to assume leadership and executive positions with efficiency and competence after completing the Business Administration program.
Moreover, Prof. Zubari expressed his pride and appreciation for the graduates of FABS who contribute to sustainable development in the GCC countries with their high expertise and skills. He cited several graduates who have assumed leadership positions in various sectors, both within and outside the GCC community.
He urged the newly admitted students to embrace innovation and focus on scientific research to highlight the issues and challenges facing the business sector, which serve the strategic aspirations of the GCC countries.
Furthermore, Prof. Zubari also encouraged the new students to make the most of the various services provided by the University in general, as well as FABS and the CGS, including office services, laboratories, and various training workshops.
It is worth noting that FABS was launched in partnership between AGU and the ESSEC Business School of France, ranked among the top ten European universities in the field of Business Administration according to the Financial Times.
FABS has achieved numerous milestones, with hundreds of young leaders specialising in business administration, who have assumed leadership positions in government ministries, companies, and institutions in both the public and private sectors in the GCC countries, thanks to the high confidence placed by the GCC countries in the MBA programme and the strength of its graduates. There is also a growing need for specialties such as facility management and public-private partnerships.
The programme offers a dynamic educational environment provided by the faculty members of AGU and the ESSEC Business School for a duration of 18 months
The programme includes a balanced mix of theoretical and practical sessions, with the academic sessions held at AGU in Bahrain, while the students spend two weeks at the ESSEC Business School campuses in Paris and Singapore to attend lectures, workshops, and participate in specialised business conferences. In addition, they undertake field visits to major commercial companies.
