Nasser Vocational Training Center (NVTC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Med-Or Foundation, a prominent research, education, and cultural organisation in Italy.
The memorandum signing ceremony took place at the Bahraini Embassy in Italy, and was attended by Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Balushi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Italian Republic.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Noaimi, NVTC Executive Director; Domenico Marco Minniti is the Chairman of the Med-Or Foundation.
The MoU is in line with the efforts of the centre to empower youth and equip them with industrial skills through cooperation with educational institutions in various countries.
The objective of the MoU is to exchange expertise and benefit from the foundation’s capabilities in adapting the centre’s academic programmes to encompass labour market skills.
The Bahrain Embassy in Rome performs an active role in optimising bilateral relations with Italy. It is engaged in promoting opportunities in higher education, culture, health and research and has utilised its strong relationship with the Med-Ore Foundation in this regard.
The MoU outlines joint priorities including scholarships for NVTC graduates to pursue master’s degrees in Italian universities, as well as professional training and vocational programmes.
The MoU also aims to integrate technical developments; consultations on artificial intelligence, digital innovations, and cybersecurity; and participation in international conferences, seminars, and workshops on excellence, creativity, and innovation.
The CEO of the NVTC said the strategic direction of the centre aims to strengthen educational and academic cooperation between Bahrain and other countries.
The centre aims to provide youth with opportunities to prepare for the future, engage in the labour market and contribute effectively to the knowledge economy, he added.
