Military Institution for the Development of Warfare Industries inaugurated

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, deputised His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, to inaugurate the Military Institution for the Development of Warfare Industries at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), coinciding with the celebration of the 56th anniversary of the establishment of the BDF.

His Highness Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force, attended the inauguration.

Upon HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s arrival, he was received by Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, and a number of BDF senior officers.

The Acting Director of the Military Institution for the Development of Warfare Industries delivered a speech, in which he extended sincere appreciation to HM the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.

He also thanked Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, and HH the National Security Advisor.

The Chief of Staff presented a memorial gift to HH the National Security Advisor.

Then, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad unveiled the commemorative plaque marking the opening of the institution, and then HH toured the institution and was briefed about its modern inspection, maintenance and development techniques.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said that this facility would be a qualitative addition to the advanced systems possessed by the BDF, which embodied the royal vision of HM the King and the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He added that it is considered the first professional institution to develop manufacturing and enhance efforts of inspection and maintenance in this vital field, explaining that such projects would contribute permanently and effectively to raising the efficiency of human resources.

HH the National Security Advisor praised the distinguished level of the members of this institution, expressing his thanks to all the efforts made by the officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals in serving the nation, wishing everyone continued success and progress.
