Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, affirmed that the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Citizenship (Bahrainouna) represents a national platform to promote stability and prosperity in Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The minister was speaking during the joint meeting between the Ministry of Tourism, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), and the Executive Office of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Citizenship.
While discussing joint tourism initiatives, the three sides reviewed the promotion of Hawar Islands and introducing Bahrain’s tourism activities through the Bahrain Calendar and the tourism app.
The minister praised Bahrainouna’s goal of promoting national values, supported by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the National Plan Implementation Follow-up Committee.
She asserted that these initiatives and programmes fall within the objectives of Bahrainouna, which affirm the preservation of the authentic values, customs, and traditions of the Bahraini society, as well as consolidating the principles of national identity, loyalty, tolerance, and pride in our Arab and Islamic heritage, being essential components of the Bahraini national identity.
Al Sairafi affirmed the importance of cooperation between the government and the private sector in achieving comprehensive development goals and promoting the values of national identity.
