BTECH and P@SHA Join Forces to Ignite Innovation: MoU Paves Way for MEET ICT & BITEX’s Next Edition

The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) and its counterpart, P@SHA Pakistan, have formally entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the upcoming ICT Conference (MEET ICT) and the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (BITEX) scheduled for November.

 This partnership was announced during the LEAP 2024 conference and exhibition in Riyadh. The signing ceremony involved Mr. Tareq Fakhroo, Chairman of BTECH, and Mr. Muhammad Zohaib, Chairman of the Board of P@SHA.

Mr. Fakhroo expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, emphasizing the anticipation of implementing initiatives that support the ICT sector in both countries. The focus is on delivering simplified and innovative communication and information technology solutions to facilitate and enhance the sector’s development. Additionally, joint expertise will be leveraged in organizing and launching MEET ICT and BITEX.

Mr. Fakhroo said: “The agreement’s provisions extend to fostering collaboration between companies from Bahrain and Pakistan, facilitating the exchange of information and experiences, whether in Bahrain or Pakistan. Furthermore, the terms encompass the active participation of the Pakistani pavilion in the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (BITEX), slated for launch in November.”

Mr. Muhammad Zohaib, Chairman of the Board of P@SHA, commended the signed agreement, highlighting its role in fostering increased cooperation and the exchange of experiences between Bahraini and Pakistani companies in the field of information and communication technologies.  

Mr. Zohaib emphasized the continuous progress observed in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s information and communication technology sector, underscoring its prominent position regionally and internationally. This positioning makes it a forefront choice for companies seeking to enhance partnerships. Such agreements, he noted, garner significant attention as they contribute to the heightened exchange of experiences between Bahraini and Pakistani companies operating in this dynamic sector.

MEET ICT Conference scheduled for November, will coincide with BITEX . The conference aims to focus on the development of technological strategies that will steer the Kingdom towards a future-oriented trajectory. This includes initiatives to promote sustainable products and services among consumers and redirecting capital towards sustainable solutions.
