Bahrain’s Second Heart Failure Conference to Launch Next Week, Drawing Worldwide and Regional Specialists

The Second Bahrain Heart Failure Conference and Exhibition will take place over two days, from May 31 to June 1, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

 This event will feature the participation of a group of doctors and heart failure specialists from both within and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as esteemed cardiology professors from various universities, institutes, and international medical centers.

Organized by BDA for medical events, the conference has been accredited for 12 hours by the National Health Regulatory Authority. It is held in strategic partnership with government hospitals, the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Sulman Al Khalifa Cardiac Center, the Gulf Heart Association, and the Kuwait Heart Foundation.

Dr. Adel Khalifa, Chairman of the Conference, emphasized that the discussions, theses, research, and presentations featured in the conference sessions will play a pivotal role in advancing cardiology and healthcare services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Furthermore, Dr. Khalifa highlighted the conference’s goal to explore the most effective and up-to-date practices for enhancing the management of diverse cases, thereby benefiting the public health of Bahraini society, and ameliorating the well-being of individuals grappling with cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Khalifa emphasized that this event highlights the advanced capabilities of the Kingdom’s healthcare system and its supportive atmosphere for discovering optimal innovative solutions and treatments in various cardiology specialties and stressed the importance of actively listening to the perspectives and ideas of the diverse participating specialists, using their insights to enhance plans aimed at advancing Bahrain’s medical sector.

Dr. Seyed Reza, Chairman of the Scientific Committee, outlined that the conference will feature several dialogue sessions on the first day covering a diverse array of crucial topics. These include discussions on predicting and preventing acute deterioration of heart failure, protocols for managing cardiogenic shock, clinical and practical strategies and trials, hemodynamic guidance for heart failure treatment utilizing arterial aortic catheterization for valve implantation, as well as diagnosis and treatment of rare types of heart failure diseases. Additionally, four workshops will be conducted as part of the conference program.

The agenda for the second day will delve into various topics through its sessions, including modification of contractile fraction, myocardial contraction, heart failure in the left ventricle, myocardium and related issues, imaging techniques for cardiomyopathy, heart failure in pediatric patients, advancements in managing heart diseases other than ischemia, insights into heart failure, and treatment of heart failure diseases. Additionally, discussions will encompass the intersection of non-cardiac surgeries, detection, and current strategies in cardiac care.
