Mr. Ali Amralla, the CEO of “Visit Bahrain”, a leading destination management company based in the Kingdom of Bahrain emphasized the significance of delivering a comprehensive tourism program for participants at the upcoming “Routes World 2024” Conference scheduled to take place in Bahrain in October. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Tourism, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority, and the Bahrain Airport Company, the event’s organizer. He expressed the eagerness of private establishments in the tourism sector to actively participate and contribute to the regional and international promotion of the conference.
Stating that the ” Routes World 2024″ conference holds global importance not only within the field of air transport but also in the tourism sector, Mr. Amralla pointed out that a substantial percentage of conference attendees, whether individuals or companies exhibiting during the associated exhibition, are professionals in the tourism and travel industry. He noted that previous sessions held in various cities worldwide have seen the signing of significant tourism agreements and have attracted a considerable number of tourists.
Mr. Amralla said: “The conference organizers anticipate the participation of approximately 2,500 attendees from outside Bahrain between October 6 and 8. These individuals are key figures within the air transport, tourism, and related industries, making them noteworthy as high-quality tourists with significant spending capacity. A considerable portion of this audience actively seeks business opportunities, underscoring the event’s importance in bolstering the growth trajectory of both the tourism sector and the broader business landscape. This emphasis arises from Bahrain’s current state of preparedness with a well-established infrastructure, exemplified by the globally acclaimed Exhibition World Bahrain, which recently received recognition as the best new center of its kind worldwide. Mr. Amralla pointed out recent successes in hosting major events such as the Jewellery Arabia Exhibition, Cityscape Bahrain, Manama Dialogue, and the Arab International Cybersecurity Summit. Additionally, he highlighted upcoming events during the National Day and New Year’s holidays, expressing optimism about the positive impact of these gatherings on hotel occupancy and overall tourism. He expressed the hope of adding more significant events throughout the year to further enhance Bahrain’s status as a preferred host for diverse international occasions.
