Transportation and Works Ministries discuss cooperation with BCCI

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, and Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, held a joint meeting with Samir Abdullah Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed underscored the ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with the private sector, particularly in infrastructure projects and enhancing the quality of logistical services. He highlighted the importance of these efforts in achieving Bahrain’s comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He commended the Bahrain Chamber’s role as a key development partner and emphasised the need to foster investment partnerships to boost the national economy’s competitiveness and diversity, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and sustainable development goals.

Minister Al Hawaj highlighted ongoing collaboration with the private sector to implement strategic projects, develop sustainable infrastructure, and improve public facilities and services. He emphasised that these efforts attract investments, support Bahrain’s urban and developmental objectives, and build on the achievements of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty the King and supported by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He emphasised the Bahrain Chamber’s vital role as a private sector partner in advancing development plans and projects, benefiting the nation and its citizens.

The chairman of the BCCI expressed appreciation to the Government of Bahrain for its commitment to providing innovative solutions to enhance entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic competitiveness, and support the private sector as a strategic partner in advancing economic development.
