Thinksmart’s SmartCoders Concludes Groundbreaking Inaugural Hackathon

Thinksmart for Development and Training under its SmartCoders project successfully concluded of its first-ever hackathon, held on July 30th and 31st, 2024. The event, centered around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), was designed to empower coders and unlock the nation’s potential in the dynamic tech landscape.

SmartCoders an unique initiative by the Nasser Vocational Training Centre and ThinkSmart and Microsoft aims to train and equip Bahrainis with coding skills, preparing them for the jobs of tomorrow.

The event aimed to foster a thriving coding community in Bahrain and inspire the next generation of tech leaders. Participants were challenged to develop creative and impactful projects that aligned with the SDGs, demonstrating the power of technology in driving positive change.

Ahmed Al Hujairy, CEO of Thinksmart, stated, “We are incredibly proud of the impact this hackathon has had.
