stc Bahrain, a world-class digital enabler, has partnered with the Nut Shelf, a company specializing in backing American almond flour, to support the company’s ongoing “Trees for Life” campaign. As part of the partnership, the Nut Shelf has pledged to plant 1,000 trees across various locations in the Kingdom.
The partnership is part of stc Bahrain’s commitment to preserve the environment and combat climate change by increasing the number of green spaces in Bahrain, in line with the Kingdom’s 2035 vision to double the number of trees. The campaign also aims to reduce desertification, address increasingly high temperatures and promote environmental awareness and air quality enhancement in Bahrain.
stc Bahrain’s “Trees for Life” campaign was launched in 2021, in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Environment and the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture. During the first phase of the campaign, stc Bahrain has planted 35,000 trees across the Kingdom, reaching 25% of Bahrain’s target. The trees have been planted across local neighborhoods, municipalities, school locations, gardens, and other locations. In the next phase, stc Bahrain looks forward to planting an additional 50,000 trees.
