Building on the success of ten editions of the “Kids R Golden” awareness campaign, “Smile” initiative, a Bahrain Future Society for Youth initiative that provides psychosocial support to children with cancer and their parents in the Kingdom of Bahrain, is gearing up for the launch of its eleventh edition.
A preparatory meeting was held with members and strategic partners to commence preparations for this campaign, which aims to raise awareness about childhood cancer throughout Bahrain during September.
Mr. Sabah Al-Zayani, Chairman of the Society, stated, “We have prioritized starting the campaign meetings early to maximize the time needed for thorough preparation. This exceptional edition will be marked by a series of intensive meetings and increased collaboration with partners to create a unique version featuring innovative ideas and a fresh identity.”
Mr. Al-Zayani added, “From our first meeting, a range of new ideas emerged, which we discussed with our strategic partners. These ideas will enhance our awareness campaign this year, as we aim to host new and creative events throughout the campaign period. This edition will reflect a decade of dedication to previous campaigns, which have achieved significant success.”
Additionally, Mr. Al-Zayani emphasized the Society’s goal to forge new partnerships and sign more agreements to increase collaboration with government agencies. The focus will be on improving the delivery of awareness programs through these new ideas, and pointed to the Board of Directors’ commitment to refining these concepts, intensifying efforts, and engaging with all relevant parties to ensure the eleventh edition of the campaign is innovative and effective in spreading childhood cancer awareness, meeting the high expectations of participants, partners, and the Bahraini community as a whole.
