Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), participated in the conference held on the sidelines of the Cityscape Bahrain 2024 at the Exhibition World Bahrain.
He highlighted the event’s role in attracting real estate investors and supporting Bahrain’s economy.
Al Hamar emphasised innovative strategies to enhance the sector’s competitiveness and sustainability, aligning with Bahrain’s strategic goals. He detailed the bureau’s efforts to streamline real estate services, advance digital transformation, and minimise in-person processes for improved efficiency.
Plans for a comprehensive electronic platform were announced to enhance transparency, protect rights, and foster investor trust, while outsourcing 70% of services to private sector survey offices has improved service quality and efficiency.
He noted Bahrain’s improved Ease of Doing Business rankings, including second place in the Middle East and third in property transfer efficiency. The National 3D Mapping Project is underway to support AI applications, integrate systems, and promote data-driven planning for sustainable development and environmental conservation.
Al Hamar stressed the importance of leveraging spatial data, fostering innovation, and enhancing public-private collaboration to achieve institutional excellence.
