Shura Council website launched

Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, inaugurated the new website of the Shura Council (SHURA.BH).

The redesigned and content-enriched website features a new identity and advanced services.

The launch ceremony was attended by Ghanim bin Fadhl Al Buainain, Shura and Representatives Councils’ Affairs Minister, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, Minister of Social Development, Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Second Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, council members; and Kareema Mohammed Abdulla Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council.

Al Saleh affirmed that the new website aligns with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, noting that the new-look website is a rich resource of information related to the work of the Council and its Secretariat-General.

The website reflects the efforts of the council in the national legislative field through a leading and comprehensive digital platform that enhances communication with the citizens, reinforcing the principles of consultation and contributing to the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Shura Chairman also highlighted the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for digital development in Bahrain.

Al Saleh thanked Secretary-General Kareema Al Abbasi, and the dedicated team from the General Secretariat, for their rapid development of the website.

The Shura Council Secretary-General also addressed the ceremony. She affirmed that the launch of the new website is part of the General Secretariat’s efforts to provide diverse services supporting legislative work.

She unveiled that new initiatives will be launched in 2024 in line with the General Secretariat’s strategic plan under the directives of Chairman Al Saleh.

She emphasised that the new website will serve as a vital informational gateway, supporting researchers, journalists, and those interested in legislative process.

The website includes a comprehensive archive of the Council sessions, decisions, and advanced search features, Al Abbasi added.
