REACH Behavioral and Development Center in Partnership with Cineco Hosts a Successful Autism-Friendly Movie Screening in Bahrain
REACH Behavioral and Development Center, in collaboration with Cineco, proudly hosted a groundbreaking autism-friendly movie screening at Seef Mall, marking a significant step towards inclusivity and sensory-friendly entertainment in Bahrain. The event, which took place at 9:00 AM, was exclusively designed for children with autism, ensuring a welcoming and accommodating environment for all attendees.
The event was met with overwhelming enthusiasm and participation from families across Bahrain. The unique screening featured adjusted lighting, lowered sound levels, and an open environment where children could move and express themselves freely, creating a truly magical cinema experience without the usual sensory stressors.
“We’re thrilled with the success of our first-ever autism-friendly cinema event. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see so many families enjoy a movie together in an environment tailored to their needs said Founder and CEO Ms. Mona Tadayyon. “Many mothers shared with us that this was the first time their children could experience the joy of going to the cinema. It’s heartwarming to know that we’ve created a welcoming space where everyone can feel comfortable and included. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future, as we continue to support and celebrate our diverse community in Bahrain.”
In the past, REACH Behavioral and Development Center has successfully hosted various community events focused on accessibility and inclusion, each met with enthusiastic participation and heartfelt appreciation. Today’s event continues that tradition, fostering a sense of community and joy for all attendees.
