PwC Middle East Empowers Bahraini Youth with Expertise in Financial Auditing and Taxation

Highlighting its commitment to supporting the careers of Bahraini youth and introducing them to rewarding job opportunities in the financial auditing and taxation fields, PwC Middle East actively participated in the recent first Accounting Forum held by Bahrain Polytechnic University. The forum offered a valuable platform for students and graduates to connect with industry leaders.

PwC Middle East’s representatives participated in two of the three forum panels, focusing on the key areas of financial auditing, tax practices, and the impact of artificial intelligence. Mr. Ali Marzooq, Senior Manager at PwC Middle East, provided insights into the work environment, including the latest advancements in A.I use, and also shed light on high-paying career opportunities within the audit and tax industries. Mr. Marzooq further emphasised that securing these well-paying positions often involves obtaining relevant professional certifications, and highlighted several valuable options, including the widely recognised Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) credentials. Additionally, PwC Middle East offers its own certificates, such as the PwC GCC VAT certificate which demonstrates expertise in the regional tax landscape, a valuable asset in a competitive market.

Beyond certifications, Mr. Marzooq stressed the importance of gaining practical experience, which can be achieved through training programmes and self-directed learning initiatives.
