The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) and the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al Hurr), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The MoU was signed by Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, Chairman of NIHR, and Yaqoub Yousif Mohammed, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al Hurr).
The MoU aims to enhance cooperation, coordination, and consultation between the two entities on topics of mutual interest.
Al Derazi highlighted that this partnership marks an important step towards effective collaboration. He underscored their commitment to promoting human and labour rights.
The MoU covers joint efforts in developing cooperation mechanisms, information exchange, and collaborative training programs, as well as preparing reports and studies on human rights. It also aims to strengthen the institution’s role as a link between the union and official bodies to raise public and governmental awareness of human and labour rights.
