The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) recently supported the renovation of the Friendship Society for the Blind’s nursery, a space dedicated to caring for blind and partially sighted infants. As a longstanding patron of the Society, NBB had previously contributed to the construction of the nursery in 1992. A ceremony was held to mark the official opening of the renovated nursery, with senior NBB representatives and members of the media attending the event. Four employees from NBB also participated as volunteers to help renovate the facility and were honoured during the ceremony as a token of appreciation. NBB’s support extended to providing the society with different beneficial equipment and material for the visually impaired children with Physiotherapy equipment from sensorial tools to equipment that develop their motor skills. These equipment will enable the children to reintegrate into schools, participate in society and become active members of it.
