The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) is sponsoring the Bahrain Sports for All Association’s female football team, who will be representing the Kingdom at the upcoming Global Goals World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Taking place from 7th March to 9th March 2024, the event will focus on promoting sustainable development goals. As part of their eligibility requirements for the competition, the team engaged in initiatives aimed at contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These included creating awareness stamps about SDGs, collecting plastic materials for the benefit of the disabled, supporting local businesses through the Bahrain Farmers’ Market, and hosting an exhibition football match against poverty.
Commenting on the occasion, Hisham Abu Alfateh, Chief Corporate Communications Officer at NBB said, “By partnering with the Bahrain Sports for All Association, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting initiatives that inspire our community. This collaboration aligns with our values of empowering youth as well as our efforts to boost inclusivity within the sports sector. We wish the young athletes representing Bahrain at the Global Goals World Cup the very best of luck and we look forward to celebrating their achievements.”
