The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) recently concluded its summer internships which saw 17 university students receive on-the-job practical experience in a corporate setting. The internship scheme forms an integral part of the curriculum for students and provides them with the real-world experience of working at a bank such as NBB. The work placement is a prerequisite for the students, as they must complete the placement to graduate, and is an essential part of their university education.
The summer internships enabled ambitious students to experience training and to benefit from the opportunity to develop their professional skills. The participating students worked closely with NBB employees to gain first-hand training and mentoring as part of their vocational training requirements for their respective universities.
Usman Ahmed, NBB’s Group CEO commented on the occasion: “At NBB we are continuously committed to support and empower the next generation, and I am confident that these bright minds will go on to achieve great success in their future endeavours. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of growth, learning, and opportunity for the young talented individuals as they embark on their professional journey.”
NBB remains committed to supporting and empowering young Bahrainis. The bank has invested in the growth and development of future banking professionals by continuously developing initiatives as part of its programme of community investment and youth development.
