The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in cooperation with “Mazad”, announced the launch of the fourth batch of facilities based on industrial plots within its industrial zones.
This launch aimed at transferring the ownership of these facilities to new investors to establish new projects and conclude new lease contracts for the industrial plot with the ministry.
The auction includes three industrial facilities, one in Maameer Industrial Zone, covering a 2,341 sqm area with a starting price of 97,852 BD, one in Al Muzarraa Industrial Zone covering an 11,000 sqm with a starting price of BD160,628, and one in Salman Industrial Zone covering a 3,975 area with a starting price of BD46,261.
Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, affirmed the continued efforts to expand partnership with the private sector by presenting investment opportunities for the industrial sector through “Mazad”, which supports the economic growth of the industrial sector and increases its contribution to the GDP.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce signed a service agreement with the Bahrain Mazad Company in December 2020, to display facilities for projects on plots leased from the Ministry in its industrial zones, and five industrial facilities were sold with a total value of around BD 2 million.
The Ministry invites those wishing to participate in the auction to submit a proposal for the project to obtain initial approval through the website: https://service.moic.gov.bh/iad, then register through the “Mazad” website, or the mobile application “Mazad” to pay the insurance amount and start bidding on industrial facilities.
