Sabah Al-Zayani, Chairman of the Bahrain Future Society for Youth, highlighted the remarkable impact of the “Kids R Golden 10” campaign’s tenth edition during its closing ceremony. Organized by the “Smile” initiative last September to raise awareness about childhood cancer, the campaign successfully reached over ten thousand individuals this year.
This substantial outreach was accomplished through various awareness initiatives at four different health centers, including Salmaniya Medical Complex, City Center, and Avenues complexes. Furthermore, the campaign saw active participation from hundreds in the walking festival at Bahrain Harbour, and numerous attendees joined various events organized by the “Kids R Golen 10” campaign, in collaboration with the private sector throughout September.
At the heart of these efforts were the dedicated volunteers of the “Smile” initiative, who engaged with visitors, distributed informative brochures, and shared impactful media materials. The campaign garnered significant attention from both local and international communities, making it a resounding success.
During his speech, Mr. Al-Zayani emphasized that the unprecedented success achieved by the ” Kids R Golen 10″ campaign in its tenth year serves as a confirmation that their efforts are moving in the right direction. He stated that this achievement provides both volunteers and organizers of the annual campaign with the motivation to continue their dedicated service for children battling cancer. Their goal is to contribute with even greater determination and sincerity, placing the Kingdom of Bahrain among the nations observing September as a month dedicated globally to raising awareness about childhood cancer.
Mr. Al-Zayani expressed his gratitude to all partners and supporters of the “Smile” initiative and its campaign this year. He specifically thanked government hospitals, health centers, as well as organizations such as “Jahez,” National Bank of Bahrain, Ahli Bank, Al Salam Bank, GFH Financial Group, National Hotels Company, Gulf Hotel, Regency Hotel, Enteract Marketing Company, and the Medical University of Bahrain for their contributions and support.
