Youth leaders from various countries signed the Charter of Hope during the launch of Bahrain’s Hope Network initiative, aimed at creating a unified framework for global youth engagement. This strategic effort seeks to foster supportive environments for youth worldwide and promote experience-sharing among member states.
The signing of the Charter of Hope reflects a collective commitment by youth leaders to essential principles for supporting the youth sector. It aims to raise global awareness on the importance of exchanging knowledge, collaborating on strategic youth policies, and empowering young people to participate fully in decision-making across sectors.
The Charter of Hope outlines five key principles, providing a roadmap for empowering youth globally. The principles include:
1. “Youth are the source of hope; they are half of the present and all of the future.”
2. “Youth are entrusted to us; we work with them and for them.”
3. “Empowering and preparing youth for the future is everyone’s shared responsibility.”
4. “We accelerate the wheel of development by highlighting best practices and successful initiatives.”
5. “To serve humanity and secure the future, we intensify meetings and increase opportunities for cooperation, collaboration, and harmonisation.”
