Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, inaugurated Informa Markets’ new office in Bahrain, with the attendance of Lord Stephen Carter, CEO of Informa PLC Group, along with prominent figures from the public and private sectors.
The minister emphasized that the Kingdom has emerged as a prominent regional hub for exhibition and conference tourism, along with various sectors of business tourism.
She highlighted the effective partnership with the private sector contributes to strengthening the position of the kingdom as a leading regional center for organising events and exhibitions, attracting more foreign investments to the kingdom, stressing the ministry’s continuous support to contribute to achieving more successes.
“This state-of-the-art office is a milestone in Informa Markets’ journey and a strong indication of its keenness to strengthen its presence in the region and provide outstanding services to its customers and partners” Lord Stephen Carter, Group CEO of Informa PLC, said.
“This strategic investment also allows the company to capitalize on the huge potential of the Bahraini market, enhance its existing events and explore new and distinct opportunities to meet the evolving needs of the Bahraini market” He added.
“We have witnessed tremendous growth in our business over the past two years, and as we expanded into new projects, it made sense to open a new branch in Bahrain and build on our strategic plans for continuous growth, more job opportunities for the local economy” Mohamed Ibrahim, General Manager of Informa Markets Bahrain, said.
