Industry Ministry launches national initiative to encourage shop owners

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced the launch of the National Initiative to encourage the participation of the commercial sector in the approaching Bahrain holiday season.

Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said that the initiative includes exempting fees for promotional campaigns and extending periods of commercial discounts starting from the first of December until the end of the year, coinciding with Bahrain’s holiday season and the celebrations Bahrain’s national holidays.

He called on shop owners to benefit from this incentive by coordinating with the Consumer Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and applying via e-mail at  [email protected].

The Assistant Undersecretary stated that this national initiative aims to encourage commercial participation in national celebrations and boost market activity during the holiday season.  He noted last year’s impressive turnout, with over 1,122 stores participating.
