HRH Princess Sabeeka praises launch of Masaken 2 housing project in East Hidd

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President, has expressed deepest pride in His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s sound directives to follow up on the needs of Bahraini women and families to ensure they are provided with all requirements of family stability.

HRH Princess Sabeeka commended the constant follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, citing HRH’s unwavering keenness to implement the royal directives to enhance the levels of the kingdom’s progress and prosperity, as well as improve the quality of the services delivered to Bahraini women, which are constantly developed by the government.

HRH Princess Sabeeka was speaking while receiving Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, at the SCW’s headquarters in Riffa today.

HRH the SCW President praised the launch of the second phase of the “Masaken” housing project in East Hidd City, targeting the fifth category of female beneficiaries of housing services.

Her Royal Highness indicated that the expansion of the “Masaken” project is based on the success of its first phase implemented in the Al-Lawzi area, the Northern Governorate, and inaugurated in 2016. She expressed hope that the “Masaken” project will be implemented across the kingdom’s governorates.

HRH Princess Sabeeka pointed out that the kingdom is a leader in providing continuous quality housing services to its male and female citizens, as part of its numerous initiatives aimed at achieving the interests of the Bahraini families and women

In this regard, HRH Princess Sabeeka commended the issuance of the Cabinet’s resolution stipulating the restructuring of the eligibility criteria for the fifth category with the aim of increasing the number of beneficiaries of this housing service, in a way that provides a decent and stable life for Bahraini women regardless of their social circumstances and age.

HRH Princess Sabeeka expressed thanks to the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and her executive team for the Ministry’s tireless efforts to develop housing services and diversify the options available to Bahraini women, in a way that facilitates their access to those services.

HRH the SCW President was briefed by the Housing and Urban Planning Minister about the “Masaken 2” project in East Hidd City.

According to Minister Al Romaihi, the four-storey building contains 49 flats with areas ranging from 93 to 124.7 square metres.

She also highlighted the facilities available in the building, such as shared multi-use halls, among others, adding that the “Masaken 2” project will be completed during the first half of 2025.
