Housing Ministry launches new tenders for 137 housing units in Salman City

Following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to expand the Government Land Development Rights Programme, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has launched three new tenders for 137 housing units in Salman City. This is part of the government’s plan to collaborate with the private sector on housing projects.

The new projects will cover an area of 27,000 square metres and consist of three sets: 69 units, 44 units, and 24 units. The closing date for applications is February 19.

With these three projects, the ministry has begun implementing seven new housing initiatives under the Government Land Development Rights Programme. This follows the successful “Suhail Housing Project” in Al Lawzi, where all residential units were sold, as well as a project for 131 units in Salman City in partnership with Delmon Gate Company, whose contracts were signed in cooperation with Al Saraya Properties Company and Al Namal Company.

The new housing projects in Salman City are expected to progress rapidly, thanks to the ministry’s proactive measures in providing essential infrastructure and services. This support will help real estate developers meet construction timelines and increase the supply of housing units for citizens seeking assistance from the Ministry’s housing finance programmes.

The Ministry stated that it will continue to prepare additional housing projects in the coming phase under the Government Land Development Rights Programme, which aims to boost the availability of housing units across the Kingdom.
