HM King to patronise Mara’ee 2023

Under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the sixth edition of the Bahrain Animal Production Show (Mara’ee 2023) will kick off on Thursday, November 23.
Mara’ee reflects the interest of the Kingdom in preserving livestock and consolidating food security, commensurate with the plans and programmes implemented by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance investment in this vital sector in a sustainable development manner.
Launching Mara’ee 6 is part of the ongoing national strategic initiatives and projects aimed at increasing the contribution of the livestock and agricultural sectors to achieving food security and supporting the national economy, by providing the best investment opportunities in one of the largest exhibitions held in Bahrain, given the outstanding success of the previous editions in attracting a large number of local and foreign visitors.
On the occasion, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, said that the three-day show will be open to the public from 09:00 am to 09:00 pm at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
He underlined the importance of Mara’ee in increasing the contributions of the animal production sector to the kingdom’s food security, highlighting Bahrain’s keenness to develop this vital sector through exchanging experiences, enhancing preventive primary care, supporting farmers, applying the best practices and technologies, as well as building capabilities in accordance with the data of the National Strategy for Sustainable Agricultural Development.
He indicated that Mara’ee 2023, which is a scientific, investment, technical, and entertainment event specialised in animal production, adds to the rich record of successes of Team Bahrain in organising mega functions.
He pointed out that this year’s edition will provide a platform for the animal sector workers and farm owners to showcase the latest experiences and technologies in this field, as well as the best global breeds of animal production.
Livestock and bird traders will also be able to display their products and livestock, he added, noting that the Mara’ee 2023 will also provide an opportunity for marketing and advertising, in addition to the exchange of experiences between exhibitors and producers.
The minister asserted that the animal production exhibition will shed light on local producers and companies, adding that the winners of various competitions related to animals and birds will be honoured.
