HM King inaugrates command building and facilities in Safreh camp

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces inaugurated, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, the command building and new facilities at Safreh Camp.

The event came as part of Bahrain’s celebrations of its national days and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne, as well as the celebration of Bahrain Police Day.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was received by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Interior Minister, and senior officials.

His Majesty congratulated the Interior Minister on the opening of the facilities and expressed appreciation for his efforts.

His Majesty toured the new facilities at Safreh Camp and then unveiled the commemorative plaque marking the inauguration of the command building.

His Majesty left a message in the guestbook, in which HM expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Interior Ministry and all its affiliates, and their contributions to maintaining security in the kingdom.

HM said that the new facilities were a demonstration of the preparedness and readiness to protect Bahrain and the ability to address challenges.

During the event, His Majesty honoured the Royal Police Academy’s pace sticking team for winning the All Arms International Pace Sticking Competition for the tenth time since 2009.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated the minister and all ministry employees on Bahrain Police Day, coinciding with the country’s national day celebrations.

HM the King commended the ministry personnel’s achievements, professionalism, readiness, and outstanding capabilities, appreciating their sacrifices and dedication to duty.

His Majesty also commended the joint efforts of the Ministry of Interior, Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), National Guard, and National Intelligence Service in carrying out their mission.

His Majesty affirmed that Bahrain will remain free, proud and safe as it continues its steady steps towards further progress and prosperity, by the dedicated efforts of its people.

His Majesty relayed his greetings and appreciation to all employees of the Ministry of Interior, wishing everyone continued success.

On his part, the Interior Minister expressed gratitude to HM the King for inaugurating the new command building and facilities, commending His Majesty’s leadership approach and vision on continued development to provide means necessary for maintaining stability and security.

The minister noted the importance of the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which has contributed to the transitioning of Bahraini police into a modern police force that is fully capable of performing its national role with high efficiency.

The minister paid tribute to the commitment, dedicated efforts and sacrifices of Bahraini policemen in performing their role, highlighting the advancement, readiness, and preparedness of the police corps.
