His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, affirmed that empowering youth is among the top priorities of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to support youth.
His Highness also highlighted support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which prioritises providing opportunities to enhance the skills of the youth and empower them.
HH Shaikh Nasser urged Bahraini youth to benefit from the programmes and training opportunities that are on offer in the upcoming 12th edition of Youth City 2030.
The Youth City 2030 project truly reflects the keenness of the SCYS to offer a variety of programmes that inspire youth, harness their energy of youth and offer them training that prepares them for the labour market, His Highness said.
This effort is inspired by Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, which focuses on activating the role of the youth in driving comprehensive development of Bahrain across all sectors, he added.
HH Shaikh Nasser said the journey of Youth City 2030 has yielded outstanding results and success over the past eleven editions, noting its contribution to the development of youth’s skills and supporting them to realise their ambitions.
His Highness commended the startup projects that the participants have worked, which served as a true testament to the determination, meticulous work, and capabilities possessed of Bahraini youth.
HH Shaikh Nasser said that the collaboration between the Youth Affairs Ministry and Tamkeen to organize Youth City 2030 represents a successful example of cooperation on a national scale.
