The Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah has announced the launch of the electronic Hajj platform, haj.gov.bh, ahead of the opening of registration for those wishing to perform Hajj in the upcoming season (1446H/2025). Registration will be available from 3 to 22 November this year.
The committee said that the platform enables pilgrims to review Hajj campaign options, package benefits, and pricing, promoting competitiveness and transparency while streamlining the registration process and application status tracking. The platform also allows Hajj campaigns to manage, monitor, and update their registrants’ data.
As for the registration process, the committee clarified that access to the platform requires the use of the Government eKey.
The platform supports individual or group registrations of up to five members, including the applicant. The committee explained that registering an interest in performing Hajj constitutes an initial application subject to eligibility criteria. Once confirmed, applicants will receive a text notification to proceed with the final registration steps in coordination with their selected campaign and pay a deposit of BHD 150 per individual through the platform, which counts toward the total package cost.
The committee encouraged those interested in Hajj to register promptly through the platform, starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday, November 3.
The platform allows applicants to prioritise up to three campaigns or select a single preferred campaign. Priority will be given to Bahraini applicants who have not previously performed Hajj, whether applying individually or in groups.
Additional priority categories include Bahraini women who have not performed Hajj and are accompanied by a Bahraini with prior Hajj experience, including non-Bahraini wives of Bahraini citizens. Priority is also extended to Bahraini applicants over the age of 60 who have not performed Hajj, as well as people of determination accompanied by a Bahraini with prior Hajj experience, with registration timing also considered in the selection process.
