The General Sports Authority (GSA) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with Bahrain Specialist Hospital and Royal Bahrain Hospital, in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of GSA, Dr. Ahmed Alrashed, Regional Chief Operating Officer at Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH), and Dr. Kasim Ardati, the Managing Director of Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH).
Dr. Ahmed Al Ansari, the Chief Executive Officer of the Government Hospitals Administration, attended the signing ceremony.
The MoU aimed to provide a series of treatment services and examinations for members of sports entities in Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Khalid emphasised the significance of the MoUs in providing advanced health services to sports members.
The MoU reflects the cooperation between the GSA and the health sector, particularly private hospitals which contribute to providing health services to athletes along with government hospitals, HH Shaikh Khalid added.
