The Future Society for Youth has entered into a formal cooperation agreement with MDC Healthcare to support children with cancer under its flagship “Smile” initiative. This partnership will see the distribution of specialised medical discount cards, offering a wide range of healthcare benefits at no cost to beneficiaries.
The collaboration aims to ease the financial pressures associated with treatment and healthcare expenses for the children and their families.
Under the terms of the agreement, children enrolled in the “Smile” initiative, along with their families, will be granted complimentary access to MDC’s medical discount card, which provides substantial discounts on a broad array of healthcare and treatment services. The card is accepted at more than 150 leading hospitals and healthcare centres across Bahrain, and select institutions abroad, enabling beneficiaries to receive quality medical care at significantly reduced costs.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sabah Al-Zayani, President of the Future Society for Youth, expressed his appreciation for the partnership, emphasising the importance of private sector collaboration in advancing humanitarian and social causes, and highlighted that the agreement with MDC represents a pivotal step in delivering tangible support to children battling cancer, helping to ease the emotional and financial burdens they and face.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to creating impactful solutions that improve the well-being of young cancer patients. By joining forces with MDC, we are taking a meaningful step toward providing better access to healthcare and honouring the strength and resilience of these young heroes,” Mr. Al-Zayani stated.
