Golden Trust Training & Consultancy is organising the 4th edition of the Career Empowerment Week (CEW 2023) which is set to take place from 9-13 July 2023 at the Wyndham Grand Manama, under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Jameel bin Mohamed Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labor. The event’s theme for this year is Work Readiness & Talents Capacity Building for Sustainability, with a primary focus on preparing national talents for emerging jobs and ensuring they acquire the skills and competencies necessary to support the sustainable development goals.
Mr. Ahmed Al Sakran, the Managing Director of Golden Trust stated: “The event will feature a diverse range of presentations, panel discussions, and workshops facilitated by renowned experts in their respective fields. These speakers will provide insights into the challenges faced by public and private sector institutions in talent capacity building and offer solutions that align with the Kingdom’s vision for 2030. They will also highlight the importance of promoting innovation and keeping pace with the impact of emerging technology in various functional areas”.
Mr. Al Sakran added: “The CEW will also showcase essential plans and desired programmes aimed at building talent capacities in response to the evolving business landscape. It will also emphasise the available progression and succession plans in the labor market to support the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals”.
Mr. Al Sakran emphasised that this event will add significant value to Bahrain and the region by involving all relevant parties, including the voice of the private and government sectors, the voice of supporting agencies, and the voice of national talents. It will provide a platform to discuss and present the most important mechanisms that organise work readiness for talents, encourage talents progression towards corporate leadership and spread awareness about the importance of a culture of capacity building, in support of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
The workshops facilitated by experts in various fields will focus on sustainability, disruptive innovation, collaboration for talent development, leadership in talent management, building emerging skills, inclusion and sustainability, discovering talents to achieve sustainable development goals, overcoming challenges in talents capacity building, talent acquisition and retention strategies, apprenticeships for sustainable development, and the art of succession planning.
The event is also relevant to companies of all sizes and industries, including startups, SMEs and large corporations. Companies seeking to build talent capabilities, implement succession plans and promote a culture of capacity building will benefit from attending the event.
