Empowering Bahrain: Unveiling Synergy of Local Talents and AI Excellence at GITEX Seminar!

A seminar held on the sidelines of the “International Business Hub” during the “GITEX Global” exhibition in Dubai highlighted the significant progress made by Bahrain in the realm of artificial intelligence (AI) and its diverse applications in sectors like education, healthcare, industry, finance, and banking. The focus was on Bahrain’s initiatives to enhance its energy capabilities, emphasizing the development of local expertise and their seamless integration into the AI domain.

The seminar entitled “Bahraini Innovation Day” was organized by WorkSmart for Events Management in collaboration with the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH). The seminar drew a substantial audience, including exhibition attendees and individuals keen on understanding Bahrain’s AI journey.

The organizers were particularly enthusiastic about involving students participating in GITEX’s International Business Hub this year as part of Bahrain Innovation Day. Their aim was to ensure these students could fully engage with the event’s content, interact with it, and derive maximum benefit from their ideas and projects.

During the seminar, Mr. Ahmed Al-Hujairy, CEO of Gulf Future Business , addressed the importance of providing continuous education opportunities, training, counseling programs, and courses for students and enthusiasts interested in the field of artificial intelligence. He emphasized the significance of strengthening collaboration between educational institutions, technology companies, and stakeholders to develop specialized educational programs focused on artificial intelligence.

At the event, Dr. Jassim Haji, President of the International Group for Artificial Intelligence, delivered a lecture titled ” Bahrain AI Roadmap“. During his presentation, he highlighted the applications of artificial intelligence in the Kingdom of Bahrain, specifically focusing on the development of robots and smart systems across various sectors. He discussed the utilization of artificial intelligence in deep learning and machine learning, emphasizing the use of generative AI techniques for analyzing large datasets, forecasting, enhancing operations, achieving high efficiency, and reducing costs through locally developed systems in companies and sectors throughout the year.

Mr. Tareq Fakhroo, Chairman of BTECH, stated that organizing the event was part of BTECH’s ongoing efforts to promote innovation in the Kingdom, aiming to build a sustainable digital future and contribute to enriching discussions and developing essential tools for embracing a comprehensive digital transformation approach across various institutions. He emphasized the importance of keeping up with the remarkable growth in Bahrain’s technology-friendly environment and highlighted the vital role of the information and communication sector in supporting economic growth, development, and productivity.

In addition, Mr. Rashid Al Snan, BTECH’s board member, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success in attracting a large and diverse audience, including active participation from technology companies and enthusiasts. He noted that the event served as an interactive platform that brought together companies, professionals, and innovators in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital energy, and cybersecurity from various countries. This platform provided them with the opportunity to engage in discussions about the latest trends and technologies in the field of artificial intelligence and related areas.
