Dr Mai Mattar Appointed as Head of the Diagnostic Radiology Department at the University Medical Centre in King Abdullah Medical City

The University Medical Centre at King Abdullah Medical City has announced the appointment of Dr Mai Ibrahim Mattar, a renowned musculoskeletal radiology consultant, as the new Head of the Diagnostic Radiology Department. This development comes in addition to her role as a consultant physician.

Dr Mattar expressed her sincere gratitude to the CEO of the University Medical Centre, Dr Salman Hamad Al Zayani, for reposing faith in her and for his relentless efforts to elevate the medical services offered by the centre. She praised his commitment to creating a work environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and excellence in providing cutting-edge medical services to the people of Bahrain and the GCC region.

It is worth noting that Dr Mattar holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at the Arabian Gulf University, as well as the Arab Board in Diagnostic Radiology. She has completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the prestigious University of Toronto in Canada and has held several key administrative positions, including Head of the Radiology Department at the Salmaniya Medical Complex and Secretary General of the Gulf Society for Structural Radiology and the Bahrain Society for Sports Medicine and Sports Sciences.
