The third edition of the Muharraq Nights festival has commenced, transforming Muharraq into a cultural hub filled with artistic, musical, visual, and culinary experiences. The festival runs daily until December 30, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and until midnight on weekends, along the UNESCO listed Pearling Path.
The festival offers a unique opportunity for visitors of all ages and backgrounds to explore the beauty of Muharraq through innovative experiences that combine heritage and art in a vibrant and creative atmosphere. It is designed to appeal to individuals, families, and groups.
Organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) as part of “Celebrate Bahrain,” the festival is held in collaboration with cultural institutions, galleries, Bahraini artists, designers, and creators. The authority ensures that all facilities are in place to provide visitors with seamless and comprehensive experience.
To enhance convenience, multiple parking areas and valet services are available near the Pearling Path, ensuring easy access to various activities. Additionally, boat trips connect the Bahrain National Museum to Bu Maher Fort, and golf carts facilitate movement along the 3.5 kilometre route, stretching from Bu Maher Fort in the south to Siyadi House in the north of Muharraq.
The festival features a wide array of activities catering to all family members. Children can participate in creative workshops, such as drawing, painting, and printmaking, which foster their imagination and connect them to Bahrain’s culture. Adults can enjoy art exhibitions, design shows highlighting both heritage and contemporary art, markets offering diverse products, cultural seminars, and musical evenings featuring Bahraini and international performances.
The culinary aspect of the festival includes an integrated dining experience, with multiple food stations along the path offering a selection of authentic Bahraini dishes and international cuisine with modern twists. These stations are designed to provide a distinctive gastronomic experience, making food a central element of the festival.
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities invites all citizens, residents, and visitors to explore Muharraq and enjoy a unique cultural and heritage experience in Bahrain and the region. More information, including event details and locations, are available at www.pearlingpath.bh.
