Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and Chairperson of Eskan Bank, highlighted that Bahrain’s hosting of specialised exhibitions and conferences in the real estate sector reflects the significant growth of this vital sector, which serves as a key contributor to the national economy. She commended the participation of most real estate companies in Bahrain in Cityscape Bahrain for the third consecutive year.
The minister noted that the participation of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, along with Eskan Bank, in Cityscape Bahrain coincides with the rapid progress in projects and programmes under public-private sector partnerships in social housing. These include recently launched projects within the Government Land Development Rights Programme in collaboration with the private sector, as well as the housing finance programmes supported by participating banks through “Tas’heel” and “Mazaya”.
She highlighted that the Ministry and Eskan Bank’s pavilion showcases results from partnerships with real estate developers under the Government Land Development Rights Programme. Seven housing projects have been launched to expand options and increase housing unit availability. The ministry is also presenting future project opportunities, including those set for tender in 2025.
The minister said that the pavilion showcases financing options provided in partnership with Bahraini banks, meeting diverse housing needs and delivering thousands of solutions since the programme’s 2022 update. Statistics show that 80% of beneficiaries switched to these options for immediate housing, with financial consultations available to visitors during the exhibition.
She added that the exhibition will highlight the features and projects offered through Eskan Bank’s “Baity” real estate platform, which has seen growing user numbers due to its diverse property options at prices aligned with housing finance limits. The platform offers flexible access to details, sizes, and prices of properties available through real estate companies in Bahrain.
