City Centre Bahrain announced hosting the campaign “Our Children are Gold” in collaboration with the Future Society For Youth under their Smile Initiative. The initiative provides psychological and social support in Bahrain to children with cancer and their families, with the aim of spreading awareness of childhood cancer in the Kingdom, providing a platform for awareness and education for the public.
For three days, City Centre Bahrain designated a dedicated area within its premises to serve as a platform for educating the public about cancers that affect children. The initiative included a stand where volunteers from the Smile Initiative had the opportunity to interact with visitors, distributing informative materials and medical brochures detailing the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer. Through their proactive approach, Smile Initiative helps to raise awareness, promoting early detection and prevention of childhood cancer. Additionally, visitors received golden ribbons as a symbol of solidarity with children battling cancer.
