Chery Tiggo7 PRO receives 5-star ANCAP safety rating

TheChery Tiggo7 PRO was awarded a 5-star rating in the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), announced Motorcity, the exclusive distributor of Chery vehicles in the Kingdom. The model received the accolade following a series of tests and assessments conducted against specific assessment pillars.

Motorcity Assistant General Manager Saad Alzowayed said, “ANCAP measures vehicle safety in terms of protection of adults and children, pedestrians, and effectiveness of collision avoidance features. For the Tiggo7 PRO to receive 5-stars means it scored high levels across all these areas of assessment. This makes it one of the safest cars in the world, reaffirming Chery’s commitment to providing the utmost protection to its customers and road users.”

Known for its rigorous and independent vehicle safety evaluations over the last 30 years, ANCAP has published independent safety ratings for thousands of new vehicles makes, models, and variants. Its safety ratings are determined based on a series of internationally recognized, independent crash tests and safety assessments shared by ANCAP and its European counterpart, Euro NCAP.

Geared with a 1.5-litre turbo gasoline engine producing 145hp and 210Nm, the Tiggo7 PRO features a large “Sunshine Galaxy” grille, full matrix LED headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights, as well as 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels. The model is packed with safety features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and more.
