Chery achieved annual sales of 1,881,316 units and exported 937,148 vehicles in 2023, marking a milestone as China’s top passenger car exporter for 21 years, announced Chery Holding Group. The marque secured a year-on-year growth of 52.6% in annual sales and 101.1% in exports in the same year.
Chery caters to several segments, introducing innovative models such as the Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid, Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-in Hybrid, and eQ series, among other new energy products.
Saad Alzowayed, Assistant General Manager of Motorcity, the exclusive distributor of Chery vehicles in Bahrain, said: “Millions of users trust Chery around the world. China recently reinforced its position as the leading Chinese automotive brand in Bahrain, coming top of a major study ranking new vehicle quality. The China Initial Quality Study (IQS) by J.D. Power named Chery the highest-ranked Chinese domestic brand, with its models earning top marks in the compact sedan and SUV categories, respectively.
In 2024, Chery is set to launch a series of new PHEV and BEV models in numerous markets including Bahrain. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as the new generation DHE/DHT, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, and an intelligent cockpit, the new models underscore Chery’s commitment to enhancing the technological features of its vehicles for its customers worldwide.
