The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) successfully concluded the International Business Hub at GITEX. This event, organized by BTECH in collaboration with WorkSmart Events Management, spanned five days during the exhibition served as a platform for lectures and seminars led by industry experts, facilitating discussions on the latest advancements and challenges in various technology-related fields.
Ten companies hailing from Bahrain, the broader region, and around the globe took part in the “International Business Hub.” Noteworthy participants included Conix and Noventiq from the United Kingdom, as well as Kilky AI from Kuwait. Local Bahraini representation featured Computer World, Almoayyed Computer, Infiniti, and Gulf Future Group. Additionally, international presence was marked by Business, ThinkSmart Company, and North Star Technology Company W.L.L. General Assembly Company, operating across Bahrain, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, France, Singapore, and Australia, also joined the event.
Moreover, the event included the active participation of 14 students from Bahraini ICT colleges across different universities, with sponsorship from the National Bank of Bahrain, BMMI, GFH Financial Group, and Khaleeji Bank.
BTECH reported that the exhibition attracted over 40,000 visitors, comprising professionals from both public and private sectors in the field of information and communications technology. This diverse audience included technical decision-makers and potential investors. The companies involved in the International Hub showcased their recent projects and initiatives across various fields, presenting inventive technical solutions catering to the business market. These efforts aimed to foster collaboration between technology markets, offering opportunities for knowledge exchange through seminars, lectures, and discussion sessions organized within the framework of the International Business Hub activities. These events were designed to introduce the public to the hub’s services and products, attracting potential investors and partners.
Mr. Tareq Fakhroo, Chairman of BTECH, emphasized that the success of the International Business Hub underscores the shared dedication of the Society and WorkSmart. Their collaborative efforts aimed to leverage all available capabilities to elevate Bahrain’s position in innovation. This initiative aimed to showcase the remarkable capabilities and advanced infrastructure of Bahrain’s technology sector which aligns with the Society’s vision to leverage digital transformation and draw on regional and international experiences to meet the evolving needs of the business sector.
Mr. Ahmed Al-Hujairy, CEO of WorkSmart, expressed that the event served as a focal point for fostering collaboration among companies, solidifying their dedication to spearheading technological advancement. He emphasized their active participation in shaping the future of various sectors and economies through digital transformation. Furthermore, he noted that the showcased projects underscored the shared direction of both government and private entities, highlighting their inclination toward becoming adaptable and future-ready organizations capable of delivering exceptional customer-centric digital services.
