BRCS and Diabetes Society Unite to Empower Children with Diabetes in Bahrain

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dr. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, graciously received a generous donation from the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS).

The donation was presented by the Society’s Secretary General, Mr. Mubarak Al-Hadi, with Dr. Maryam Al-Hajri, Vice President of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, and Mr. Mohammed Mashakhil, Administrative Controller of the Red Crescent Society, also in attendance.

This contribution is part of a collaborative effort between the Bahrain Red Crescent Society and the Bahrain Diabetes Society aimed at supporting children with diabetes across the Kingdom of Bahrain. It reflects the ongoing commitment of both organizations to alleviating the financial burdens faced by families of diabetic children and ensuring they receive the essential healthcare they need.

The initiative will support ten children with diabetes for an entire year by providing glucose sensors for continuous blood sugar monitoring. This intervention is designed to enhance their quality of life, achieve better health outcomes, and mitigate the risk of complications such as cardiovascular issues and kidney disease.

This partnership underscores the commitment of both societies to social and humanitarian responsibility, emphasizing the importance of supporting all community segments, particularly children with chronic conditions. It also highlights the values of cooperation and solidarity among Bahrain’s humanitarian organizations.
