BENEFIT, the Kingdom’s innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions service, is pleased to announce its participation in Diabetes Day Race 2024. This charitable event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, will take place on Saturday, November 16th at the Water Garden City.
Organized by The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) and Foulath Holding, the race aims to raise funds to provide essential insulin pumps to children with type 1 diabetes. The MENA region faces a significant diabetes burden, with a staggering 16.2% regional prevalence and an alarming projected increase of 86% in the number of people with diabetes by 2045.
Hanan Abdulla Hasan – Manager, PR & Communication at BENEFIT commented, “As a socially responsible organization, BENEFIT is committed to supporting initiatives that improve the lives of our community. Given the significant and rapidly growing number of people with diabetes in the MENA region, it’s crucial to support initiatives like this to address the urgent need for quality care and life-saving treatments. By raising awareness and funds through this race, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of these young individuals and their families.”
BENEFIT’s participation in the Diabetes Day Race reinforces its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. This aligns with the company’s broader goal of supporting initiatives that positively impact society, especially those focused on the health and well-being of young people.
