Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) recently launched ‘ThursDelights,’ a new initiative aimed at supporting the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) within the Kingdom’s Food and Beverage (F&B) industry.
‘ThursDelights’ aims to spotlight Bahraini businesses that are part of BDB’s diverse SME client base. The Bank invites these F&B establishments on a bi-weekly basis to set up temporary stands at its headquarters, giving them a unique platform to showcase and offer their delectable treats to the BDB staff. This provides valuable marketing exposure to the customers and offers the opportunity for employees to connect with their colleagues in a casual and informal setting. Since its introduction, the event has featured Sweet Up Desserts & Ice Cream, Khafayef Bakery, and Mockingbird Breakfast & Brunch Café.
Commenting on the initiative, Ali Al Aradi, Chief Banking Officer at BDB said, “As Bahrain’s leading SME financing bank, we remain dedicated to empowering the Kingdom’s businesses and fostering a supportive ecosystem. The ‘ThursDelights’ initiative aligns with our focus to invest in the SME community and underscores our efforts to create a dynamic and inspiring workplace for our talented team.”
‘ThursDelights’ reflects BDB’s steadfast commitment towards enabling the growth of local companies and cultivating an enriching organisational culture. The Bank looks forward to highlighting more ventures as part of the initiative and contributing to the continued development of Bahrain’s vibrant SMEs.
