Sameer Abdulla Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), met with Tuula Yrjölä, Finland’s Ambassador to Bahrain, residing in Abu Dhabi.
Mohammed Abduljabbar Al Kooheji, Second Vice Chairman of BCCI, Waleed Ibrahim Kanoo, Vice Treasurer of BCCI, and Sonya Janahi, board member, attended the meeting.
Chairman Nass highlighted Bahrain’s favourable business environment, noting the absence of corporate taxes and the extensive support provided by Tamkeen to startups and businesses. He also emphasised the availability of highly skilled Bahraini professionals.
The two sides discussed enhancing economic cooperation between Bahrain and Finland, particularly investment opportunities in education, technology, healthcare, cybersecurity, and renewable energy.
Chairman Nass pointed out the rapid growth in these sectors and their promising investment prospects. He noted that cooperation between the two countries could contribute to sustainable development and achieving shared objectives.
Ambassador Yrjölä expressed her appreciation for BCCI’s commitment to strengthening economic ties, describing Bahrain as a strategic partner in the region. She also highlighted the Finnish private sector’s interest in investing in key sectors between the two countries.
