Bahrain’s ITB China 2024 Success: Amralla Targets 7,500 Chinese Tourists in a Year

Visit Bahrain, a leading destination management company headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced the successful conclusion of deals and agreements aimed at drawing 7,500 Chinese tourists to Bahrain within the next 12 months.

This initiative was unveiled during its participation in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion at ITB China 2024 International Tourism Exhibition in Shanghai, China.

The company has outlined plans for a dedicated team to coordinate the arrival of these Chinese tourists to Bahrain over the course of a year. They will be organized into tourist groups and provided with comprehensive accommodation and entertainment packages covering a vast array of attractions in the Kingdom.

“Visit Bahrain” is committed to ensuring that these tourists receive an exceptional experience tailored to their preferences, encompassing adventures, entertainment, tourism, and shopping opportunities, all in alignment with the company’s renowned expertise in attracting tourist groups from around the globe.

“Visit Bahrain’s proactive approach to participating in ITB China 2024 and securing these new agreements reflects its strategic expansion agenda. With a focus on strengthening its presence in both regional and international travel sectors, the company is strategically targeting the lucrative Chinese market, widely recognized as a powerhouse in global tourism.” said the CEO of Visit Bahrain, Mr. Ali Amralla.

“This market boasts an impressive annual influx of around 157 million tourists, highlighting its significance on the global stage. By capitalizing on such opportunities, Visit Bahrain demonstrates its proactive stance in driving growth and seizing competitive advantages within the dynamic tourism landscape.”

Mr. Amralla highlighted the synchronicity of these agreements with Gulf Air’s imminent launch of direct flights connecting Manama to Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Beijing in China. This strategic move is poised to bolster Visit Bahrain’s endeavors in enticing Chinese tourist groups.

The CEO of Visit Bahrain also commended the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority for its instrumental role in orchestrating Bahrain’s participation at ITB China 2024 and its unwavering support for private tourism sector entities in attracting more visitors from China to Bahrain. This initiative is particularly significant given China’s status as one of the Kingdom’s primary target markets, spurred by its status as the world’s fastest-growing economy. Such efforts align closely with the objectives outlined in Bahrain’s tourism strategy for 2022-2026.

Moreover, it is noteworthy that Visit Bahrain recently made inroads into the Chinese market by establishing two representative offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou in late 2023. Subsequent meetings facilitated numerous partnerships aimed at attracting Chinese tourists to Bahrain, underscoring Visit Bahrain’s expansion strategy to fortify its presence in both regional and international travel markets.
