Bahraini Retiree Wins the Kingdom’s Biggest Cash Prize of BD 1,000,000

Al Salam Bank has recently concluded its Danat Savings Scheme 2023 with a draw for the biggest cash prize in the Kingdom of Bahrain worth BD 1 million. Mr. Ebrahim Yusuf Hasan was declared the grand prize winner live on Bahrain TV on Thursday, 4 January 2024, in the presence of external auditors from KPMG Fakhro, internal auditors, and representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

On this momentous occasion, Mr. Ebrahim Yusuf Hasan expressed his joy, commenting: “I am delighted to have won the Kingdom’s biggest cash prize. Following my retirement in 2017, I deposited a modest amount of BD250 into the Danat account, nurturing hopes of securing a more prosperous future for both my family. This is truly an overwhelming experience. I am firmly convinced that this prize will significantly elevate the quality of life for my family and me.”

This year’s Danat Savings scheme is rewarding clients with four grand prizes, including: a full year’s monthly salary worth BD 20,000 in February, making it the biggest salary prize in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a modern, waterfront villa located in Diyar Al Muharraq’s Al Naseem project in July 2024. In addition to two grand prizes worth BD 1 million each for two winners, with one set to be announced in December 2024 and the second in March 2025.

As the biggest in Bahrain, the new edition of the scheme will involve a greater number of winners and prizes, including the introduction of a new prize for clients who maintain their savings in their Danat Plus accounts. Clients will gain exclusive monthly “Danat Plus” prizes and more chances to win, with the draw rewarding 10 winners a month with BD 1,000 each. Opportunities to win increase for investments maintained within the account, the longer the amount saved, the greater the chances of winning.

The Danat Prize scheme will also be rewarding more than 100 clients with monthly prizes including BD 500 cash prizes for 50 winners and a monthly cash prize of BD 10,000 for one winner. In addition to 40 monthly prizes worth BD 200 dedicated to the Bank’s youth segment, enabling clients between the ages of 10 to 18 to participate in the draws for small investments starting at BD 5 only.
