Bahrain Post at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a commemorative stamp marking the 75th Anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
The Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness on promoting and protecting human rights emanates from the principles enshrined in its constitution, the National Action Charter, and relevant legislation and its commitment to international treaties and agreements governing human rights. This reflects on its efforts to maintain human rights and the rule of law in the society and to continue strengthening the human rights system, and Bahrain’s human rights record.
The stamp will be available in all postal offices. The price of a full sheet of ten stamps is BD 5, and the envelope of the first day’s issue is BD 1.
Bahrain Post issued a similar stamp in 1973 on the 25th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
