Bahrain Polytechnic discusses co-op with Indian Universities

Following the Cabinet’s approval to the conclusion of a memorandum of (MoU) understanding between Bahrain Polytechnic and Chandigarh University in India, the CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin received His Excellency Mr. Vinod K. Jacob, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The aim of the visit was to strengthen means of cooperation in the field of scientific research and other exchange programs and initiatives between the Polytechnic and the prestigious Indian universities. 

During the meeting, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin welcomed the Ambassador of India, praising the distinguished friendship between the two countries in various fields, emphasizing the importance of enhancing collaboration, especially in education and training sector.

Both Bahrain Polytechnic and the Embassy of India welcomed the Cabinet’s approval of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) that was signed between Bahrain Polytechnic and Chandigarh University in India. The two parties discussed developing this MoU and initiating other agreements for collaboration in applied research, program development; and in creating opportunities for students and graduates.

In addition to that, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin expressed his aspirations to collaborate with other universities in the Republic of India, in key areas that keep pace with the development aspirations of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and that are in line with the national economic recovery plan.

On his side, Ambassador of the Republic of India expressed his thanks and gratitude to Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin for the warm reception, wishing the Polytechnic further progress and development, and the Kingdom of Bahrain the success in its comprehensive developmental plans.
